About Siesta Key
Siesta Key Beach, with its world famous "baby powder" sand, beautiful and serene Siesta Key Village, and lets not leave out the tranquil setting within your very own Siesta Key Vacation Property!!
Where?
Siesta Key is a barrier island off the central western coast of Florida in the United States of America. It is situated between Sarasota Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.
Our company began nearly 2 decades ago with one primary goal in mind; we wanted travelers to experience our beautiful island, white crystal sand beach, tropical village, true island atmosphere, and carry it with them back to their native home. Basically, we wanted them to feel like they couldn't wait to get back to the soft, powder sand of Siesta Key. From the seeds of these thoughts came the inspiration behind my family's venture into the world of Siesta Key Vacation Homes and Siesta Resorts. Bringing exclusive, unique, and comfortable Vacation Rental Homes to global travelers became a passion of mine over the many years. Siesta Key Vacation rentals slowly added many unique comforts to every property we renovated. In some cases we added French Doors overlooking the waterfront of Siesta Key. Sometimes we would build out entertainment centers with flat screen TV's to give that feeling of being at the movies while on vacation. The one thing you may notice throughout all of our properties are elements of creature comforts. The sofas are extremely relaxing and plush, bedding is posturepedic pillow-top, concept design features are very soothing, and lastly, the colors and textures are meant to ease your stress. Come through our website, and see some the details we've created here at Siesta Resorts. The sunsets, the crystal clear water, and the baby powder beaches are waiting for you!! Your just a few clicks away from the Siesta Key Vacation homes of your dreams!
Family Vacation Homes: If there is one aspect of Siesta Key Vacation Homes I feel we have brought to these properties , its the way we cater to the whole family. We've tried to design living arrangements so families can enjoy the experience together. Most of our properties are close walking distance to the Siesta Village or Siesta Public Beach. Most of our vacation rentals have child-proof fencing around the pool, or pet fencing around the entire property. We have added additional security measures including entry gates, to give your family that safe feeling while your far from home. Our vacation rental properties are equipped with ozone filtration air systems to remove dust, mildew, and any other particulate matter from your family's living space. We try to bring all of these small measures to our deserving families, and look forward to bringing you and your family the vacation you've been waiting for.......................TOGETHER!!!!!!
Exceptional Properties: Siesta Key is nothing short of the most laid back, easy-going, enclaves on the planet. You will find it alive with tropical atmosphere, blessed with the "world's finest, whitest beaches," filled with charming hideaways, and always offering plenty to do - but it is also a place to relax, and let the warm breezes, cool water, and soft sand transport you to your personal paradise! Many species of exotic flowers, tropical trees and flowering shrubs and plants thrive in our sub-tropical climate as well. Offshore dolphins and manatees are often spotted frolicking in the gulf and bay waters. Siesta Key is very proud of our sand. In fact, we have been voted the world's #2 Beach last year by Travel Magazine!!
Come down with the family and see for yourself...........Siesta Key is calling you!!!

Siesta Key, FL
Rated #1 Beach in the World
Siesta Key is a beautiful barrier island eight miles long just offshore of Sarasota, Florida. You will find it alive with tropical atmosphere, blessed with the world's finest, whitest beaches, filled with charming hideaways, and always offering plenty to do - but it is also a place to relax, and let the warm breezes, cool water and soft sand transport you to your personal paradise! Two bridges link the island to the mainland, allowing it to remain an uncomplicated natural paradise without sacrificing the amenities of contemporary life. The north bridge, Siesta Drive, is within the City of Sarasota and provides convenient access to the city, its business and arts districts, and to the Sarasota/Bradenton International Airport via US Highway 41. The south bridge, Stickney Point Road, provides access to south Sarasota County and a direct route to Interstate 75. There are two main shopping districts right on Siesta Key, each with a wide variety of shops that carry merchandise ranging from gifts and T-shirts to the finest haute couture to ice cream. Siesta Key Village is located on the northwest side of the Key about one block from the Gulf. The Siesta South Shopping area begins at the Stickney Point Bridge and goes south along Midnight Pass Road. From November to September our own Siesta Key Trolley will take you from the southern-most part of the island to the north end. Siesta Key began seeing residents during the 1880s when other homesteaders were making their claims on different parts of Tampa, Sarasota, and Venice. For a while the small barrier island did not hold many permanent residents, just mostly small fishing villages set up for profit. Finally Captain Roberts and his wife decided to settle here in the early 1900s and eventually turned his home into Roberts hotel to attract other potential residents and guests to the island. Capt. Roberts is best known for helping to develop the area of Siesta Key into the beautiful tourist island that exists today. Several streets are named after the Roberts family, like Ocean Boulevard, which one may assume is named after the ocean, is actually named for Capt. Roberts wife, Ocean Hansen Roberts. Roberts Road and Hansen Bayou are also named for Capt. Roberts and his wife Ocean Hansen. Roberts worked together with Harry Higel, the first mayor of Siesta Key in 1916, to begin changing the name from Sarasota Key to Siesta Key as well as dredging the canals and building the Siesta Key Bridge at the north end of the island in 1917. The Stickney Road Bridge was added in 1927, and with this came the first subdivision for permanent residents of Siesta Key. When most people mention the Siesta Key beaches they are reminded of the crystal white quartz sand and the transparent turquoise water. Overlooking the Gulf of Mexico and separated from Sarasota by Roberts Bay. Much of Siesta Key is engulfed in waterfront properties and also houses a thriving downtown Siesta Key Village area with plentiful shops and restaurants for locals and tourists alike. The full-time population of Siesta Key is estimated around 7,500, which is immense considering the barrier island is only 8-miles long. The beauty of the beaches and the lure of being away from the hustle and bustle of the larger companion city of Sarasota keep tourists and residents continually coming back.
